The Jing Lan Teapot 井栏壶 is a classic Yixing form inspired by the shape of an ancient well railing. Its low, rounded body, clean shoulder line, short spout, and balanced handle give the piece a calm and grounded appearance.

This teapot is handmade by Zhuang Jianwei 庄建伟 using Lao Zini 老紫泥, a traditional purple clay appreciated for its warm brown-purple tone, fine sandy texture, and understated character. With a capacity of approximately 150cc, it is ideal for personal Gongfu tea sessions or sharing tea with one to two people.

The simple and steady form allows the natural clay texture to become the focus. Its compact size offers good control during brewing, making it suitable for oolong tea, pu-erh tea, black tea, and aged tea.
